In Memoriam - Supervising Examiner Christine Geary RDA, BSc, CFE
|
We are saddened to report that one of our ablest investigators, Christine Geary, passed away suddenly last month. Since joining Prosperident in 2019, Christine proved herself to be knowledgeable and capable, earning rapid promotions, assuming responsiblilty for conducting some of our most complex investigations, and mentoring other investigators. She was loved and admired for her technical prowess and sparkling personality.
In the sidebar, we highlight one of her many successful investigations.
Christine is survived by her mother, Donna, and her son Ben. We are grateful for the time we got to spend with her and only wish there was more of it.

The View from the CEO's Chair
|
Last month was supposed to be a celebratory one for Prosperident. We were wrapping up our 35th anniversary year, and we also were completing our busiest year ever.
Our celebration came to a crashing halt when we received the news just before Christmas that one of our most senior and beloved investigators was on life support and was not expected to survive.
What added to the devastation of this news was that Christine was in the process of relocating to the location of our head office in Halifax Canada and had been here on a house-hunting trip only two weeks before she passed away. She was able to join us for our Head Office Christmas party held at my house. Here is a picture we took of her with our management group.
Christine is second from the right, and looks healthy and happy in the picture, with no premonition whatsoever of what was to come. Two short weeks later she was gone.
Christine once described her working at Prosperident as her dream job. We are proud and honored that she got to live her dream with us. Rest in Peace, Christine.
Yours truly,
David Harris
