Hiring Alert – Katherine McConnell – New Jersey

Katherine McConnell of Runnemede NJ (who also sometimes goes by “Mia” and may use the last name Santamore) is reportedly looking for work in dental practices. Information provided to us is that money was missing from at least one practice where she worked. She also has prior convictions for Theft by Taking from 1993, Theft By Deception from 2003, shoplifting in 2008 and burglary in 2019.

But there’s more. This bizarre story about faking her own death certificate to avoid charges appeared in a local paper in 2018. Read on:

Katherine McConnell isn’t Dead

BROOKLAWN – The good news is that Katherine McConnell is still alive.

That’s also the bad news, police say, because it means she lied about being dead.

The 44-year-old Runnemede woman was arrested on charges that she sent a fake death certificate for herself to the Brooklawn Municipal Court.

Brooklawn police said she drafted the phony document in an attempt to avoid prosecution on a previous charge for shoplifting at Brown’s ShopRite.

McConnell was arrested Dec. 20 at her workplace, from where she also had faxed the phony document to the court clerk’s office the previous day, police said.

She was issued three criminal summonses and released, alive, pending a future court date.
